Maison Vialade d'Olette
The first Maison Vialade mushroom farm, created in 2016is located in Olette, at the foot of Mount Canigou in the Pyrénées-Orientales. Today, it’s an innovative, environmentally-friendly production site.
The mushroom farm covers an area of 8,500 m², with an annual capacity of around 2500 tons of mushrooms.
There are 16 production rooms where harvesting is carried out by hand seven days a weekguaranteeing unrivalled freshness and quality.
The Maison Vialade mushroom farm in Olette is equipped with photovoltaic panels and redistributes the compost used to local farmers. local farmersa commitment to sustainable development. Every day, the Olette production site strives to implement practices that are ever more respectful of the environment and biodiversity.
The mushrooms grown at Olette, mainly organic white and brown button mushrooms, are produced pesticide-free under controlled conditions. After harvesting, they are sent to the Rivesaltes packaging facility before being shipped throughout France.
Today, we employ over 80 people at the Maison Vialade mushroom farm in Olette. This dedicated team is supervised by team leaders, a cultivation manager and a production manager, ensuring optimal optimal of production. We’re proud to be creating jobs in this remote Conflent region.

Maison Vialade de Rivesaltes
On April 25, 2023, we reached an important milestone with the inauguration of our second mushroom farm in Rivesaltes, near Perpignan. Located within the Espace Entreprises Méditerranée, this new state-of-the-art ultramodern production site 10,000 m² production site is designed to be at the cutting edge of technological innovation and sustainable development. sustainable development.
With an annual production capacity of 2,000 tonnes, the Maison Vialade mushroom farm in Rivesaltes represents a major step forward for the company. The new site incorporates optimized-sized growing rooms to recreate the ideal climate for mushroom growth, and to energy consumption.. The growing and harvesting rooms are separated to reduce the health risks associated with the proliferation of pests (mainly sciarid midges). The harvesting rooms are equipped with tilting shelves and automatic gondolas to improve the ergonomics of our employees’ work, while a robotized palletizing system reduces the need to handle heavy loads.
The Rivesaltes plant enables us to double our productionto 10% of the national production of button mushrooms. In a period of rapid expansion, we have taken on over 110 new employees, bringing the total number of staff in the company to 210.
The production process at the Maison Vialade mushroom farm in Rivesaltes is meticulously controlled to guarantee mushrooms of the highest optimum freshness. As at the Olette site, the mushrooms are harvested daily by hand, and the roof is covered by 3,000m2 of photovoltaic panels, providing self-consumption for over a third of the site’s overall energy needs.
